IAB UK submission to DCMS Committee influencer inquiry

Posted on Monday 10 May 2021 | IAB UK

The IAB has responded to a call for evidence made by the DCMS Committee, as part of its inquiry into ‘influencer culture’

In March 2021 the House of Commons Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee announced it would be conducting an inquiry into ‘influencer culture’. As part of this, the Committee issued a call for evidence which IAB UK has submitted a short response to, emphasising the existing self-regulatory regime that influencer marketing falls within, and highlighting some contextual points about the nature of influencer marketing and Government’s existing work on digital ad regulation.
